Week nine of the 2016 NFL season kicks off on Thursday night when Jameis Winston attempts to lead his Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a season sweep of Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons.카지노사이트
This mid-season rematch of NFC South rivals could be another Thursday Night Football stinker, but odds are both teams come out to play in a huge game with serious ramifications inside the division.
Atlanta is fresh off of a tight win over the Green Bay Packers and enters Tampa Bay at 5-3, while the Bucs couldn’t take advantage of a chance to climb over .500 last week and come into week nine at 4-5.
While the Buccaneers have so far been a wishy washy crew, NFL betting enthusiasts and daily fantasy football gamers alike need to consider that Tampa Bay did win in a week one shootout in Atlanta and a big home win tonight would put them back in the NFC South title conversation.
To get everyone ready for tonight’s crazy divisional tilt, let’s take a look at the betting lines, as well as which players you’ll want to consider using in NFL DFS contests out of this game:
Atlanta lost to these very Buccaneers in week one, but since then they’ve gone 5-2 and easily could be undefeated during that stretch if two wild losses broke their way. They’ll enter Thursday night’s meeting with the edge, per Bovada:
- Spread
- Falcons -4.5
- Buccaneers +4.5
If you’re thinking of chasing the Bucs at all tonight, this is probably the spot to do it. The MoneyLine doesn’t offer insane upside, but this spread gives just enough wiggle room that a close game could take advantage of.
Tampa Bay won the first meeting and historically, Jameis Winston has had solid success against the Falcons (3-0). All three games have been decided by a touchdown or less, too, with Winston’s first stop in the Georgia Dome ending in an overtime win for Tampa Bay and his second showdown with the Falcons ending in a tight 23-19 win.
If tonight’s clash goes anything like the first two games (decided by four points or less), this is a very fun spread to attack on Tampa Bay’s side.
We ultimately think the Falcons step up and come away with the win by seven points, but for betting purposes, this isn’t a bad spot to be in.
- MoneyLine
- Falcons -210
- Buccaneers +175
As we mentioned, this isn’t an amazing MoneyLine to bet on. Betting on the Falcons gets you nowhere unless you put down an insane bet, and even going with the underdog Buccaneers isn’t going to be overly profitable.
That being said, a decent bet on the Bucs could return some solid profit ($500 bet gets you $875) and considering Winston’s 3-0 record against Atlanta, it’s not crazy to go for the dive.
Total (51.5)
You’re not getting much to play with when you bet the over/under usually (-110 here), but if you feel confident in predicting the score, this is typically a good bet to go hard on. These two teams certainly can pile on the offense (Atlanta specifically), and we saw that in week one when the Bucs won a shootout, 31-24. That Total alone would have us shooting for the Over tonight.바카라사이트
We can’t go simply off of one game earlier this year, but when we look at the Falcons and Buccaneers, we get two teams that can score the ball. Atlanta actually leads the entire NFL in total offense and points per game (32.8), while Tampa Bay isn’t too shabby, sitting at 19th with 21.7 points scored per contest.
Tampa Bay’s performance in this same matchup in week one, combined with Atlanta not having a great defense and this being in Tampa, has us going after the Over here. Even if the Bucs don’t perform up to expectations, the Falcons should put up enough points on their side to push the Total where it needs to go.
Thursday Night Football Fantasy Advice
Thursday night’s divisional clash isn’t just about a rivalry or betting prospects. People have season-long and daily fantasy football decisions to make in this contest, as well.
Season Long Fantasy Help
For the season long folk, you need to roll with the studs and not think twice. Matt Ryan, Devonta Freeman, Julio Jones and Mike Evans are all must-starts. Jameis Winston is also viable if you’re in a pinch at quarterback.
There are some injuries to monitor across all fantasy football genres, as the Buccaneers are down to spare parts at running back due to Doug Martin and Jacquizz Rodgers being out and Julio Jones is also a little banged up (knee)
You can’t sit Julio, but the situation in Tampa Bay’s backfield may make it too risky to trust in Peyton Barber or Antone Smith.
Daily Fantasy Football Picks
- Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons ($7.1k)
- Jameis Winston, QB, Buccaneers ($6.1k)
- Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons ($6.7k)
- Julio Jones, WR, Falcons ($9.6k)
- Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers ($8.5k)
This should be an explosive, high-scoring game, and all of these guys are very much in play. Jones was not himself last week, but he’s an elite talent and put up 16 fantasy points against this Buccaneers secondary in week one. He could be in for a huge game.
Matt Ryan was good in week one, too, but Winston tossed four touchdowns against the Falcons and tonight has the home crowd backing him. He represents better value in DFS contests.
Freeman is the only running back to consider here. Being on the road isn’t ideal, but Tevin Coleman is out and he’s going to be super involved as a runner and receiver. The Tampa Bay backup running backs are going to be really cheap and could be fun dives for GPP contests, but we wouldn’t suggest it. There isn’t a clear winner in that backfield.
Instead, take it to the air with Mike Evans, who should bounce back from a week eight stinker. He put up 20 fantasy points in the first meeting earlier this year and should thrive again in this matchup.
Lastly, don’t use either of these defenses. It’s possible one steps up and shocks us, but Vegas set a super high total for a reason. There are going to be a lot of points tonight.
Falcons vs. Buccaneers Prediction
If you noticed up top, we already made our prediction, and it’s Atlanta coming into Tampa Bay to steal a 37-24 shootout win. That makes Atlanta the pick all around, as a straight up bet, the MoneyLine bet and also the ATS bet. Tampa Bay is at home and has the offense to potentially make this a really good game, however, so we figure this one is relatively close and for a Thursday Night Football game, it should actually be entertaining.
Ultimately, however, the Falcons are pretty tough to stop offensively and their defense can do just enough to get the win and even this season series, 1-1.온라인카지노
